I wonder if McDonalds will take them on with a selection of tomato/barbecue sauces and a few of those little packets of sauce? With the right marketing anything can be a gift (as this thread shows).
    Can I help?
  • i have just rang my few locals who said they had no idea about this :(. one asked where i had seen it and when i told him he said that stores are not allowed to do their own deals etc and that it was store specific and they wont be getting them in. :( sad as i wanted one for my brother in law.

where is your local out of interest?

my hubby is a manager at nandos middlebrook
just rang him and he confirms that this is not is all stores

in fact the stores that have got them are in for a major kicking apparently because the management have took it upon themselves to do this which is not the 'nandos brand'

oops may just have got someone in trouble :O

That would be rather silly of them. At least this "thinking outside the box" is getting customers into the restaurants & spending more money. The 1/4 chicken isnt costing them money either as it encourages customers back for an extra visit & will more likely spend money on extras like olives etc.

Its much better than those other nandos gift sets in the likes of boots & sainsburys which are usually reduced after xmas anyway because their overpriced.

The Nandos sauces and seasonings are not just like tomato/barbecue sauce though, they are quite exotic and expensive in supermarkets and these are bottles not packets, so it is just like other gift sets you can get for the kitchen, plus a voucher for a meal. I would be happy to receive this as a gift because I would actually use it!
  • Hope my not so local Nandos have this instore. That would be part of OH's xmas pressie sorted (and Ill get to enjoy it too)
