Hole in UPVC door

Hi,

Does anyone know if a hole in a UPVC door can be repaired? Or will the door have to be replaced. The hole is big enough to get a finger or two in.

thanks,
Adam.

We had a mark removed from our upvc door by a local window company, they all seem to have an engineer who does these things. He told me that he had just been repairing a window ledge that a dog had chewed several holes in.I was quite surprized to know that upvc could actually be repaired but he said most things can be filled and repaired.
The mark on my door is invisible now it was quite a deep gouge and when he filled it and resealed it, it looks as good as new To be honest I couldnt see what he was using he had such a big bag of stuff and did use a heat gun at one point.
I guess you could try ringing round some firms ad asking if they do this service and could they give you a free estimate.
