Hello All.
My C drive is nearly full,how do i transfer files and programs from C to D drive,i would really appreciate your help.

Files are easy, just drag and drop into appropriate folders. Programs, you may need to uninstall them and reinstall on the
using control panel. But make sure you have the setup file or cd before uninstalling. But I think most of your space will be taken up with music, videos, photos.etc So best to transfer all of these over to the

Programmes have to be uninstalled and then reinstalled on the alternative drive - not all give you that option and most will put something on the main system drive (C: usually) anyway.

As for other data files, just move the folders from C: to
using cut and paste rather than copy and paste. If you have something like a large number of photographs, that will probably reduce space used on the C: drive, but other data files may make no noticeable difference.

Move data files ONLY, not programs.
But first, download WinDirStat and run it to see what's actually using the space, and where it all is. From there, you can decide what to move.
The usual candidates will be music files or mp3s, photos/pictures, movie downloads, word docs, excel spreadsheets, etc.
Second, go into the web browsers you use and look for the option to delete Temporary Internet Files. You may find a lot of space is liberated when you clear these.....
If your D drive is a Recovery Partition, with files for restoring the Operating System to factory settings, you may want to leave it untouched, and invest in a USB stick, external drive or similar to store your data.0
