    Also to add to Toothsmiths valuable comments, one session especially for something like smoking, is rarely enough.

    People who have had habits for many years seem to think to think Rome was built in a day!

    And if you stop smoking and then start a few months later again due to stress or whatever, that doesn't mean it didnt work, it just means that life changes.

    Ultimately, the hypnotherapist can only do so much, sooner or later you have to take some responsibility for yourself rather than expecting someone to wave their magic wand and make your problems dissappear.

    check out positive solutions i know some one who used them and have not touched a ciggerate since its £300.00 though but i think if you start smoking again he does it again at no extra charge i know its not easy trying to give up i have tried three times and have failed i am thinking of reading allan carrs book the easy way to give up smoking they reckon thats quite good as well i am off to look for it today coz i am gonna give it another go good luck

    Apparently Allen Carr is very good. I know a couple of dedicated smokers who used it successfully. I've used Paul McKenna for his confidence tapes. of course you can't ever say for sure if it has 'worked' but it did make me feel better. SIL used hypnosis to give up smoking and it worked for her though!
