Buyer not happy ...

I recently sold a feather an down duvet. I originally bought it 8 years ago but it has not been used in at least 5 years. It has been stored in a cupboard most of that time.

Te buyer has just messaged me to say they are not happy. Apparently they are claiming that one row of the duvet is empty of feathers. She s claiming it must be a seconds item (it wasn't).

I suspect that the feathers have bunched up - I found we had to shake it fairly regularly to redistribute the feathers.

Not sure of next steps? Concerned that buyer might put in a claim? I currently have 100% feedback. I had originally planned to sell this as a collection only item but was persuaded to ship it.

Advise the buyer to shake it and then see if that distributes the filling enough.

Advise them that, if they are not happy, you will give them a full refund on return of the quilt.

Don't be quick to agree a partial refund if you think they are trying it on.
