How do I swop my disabled car tax to a new car

Hi All,
Ive just part exchanged my car for newer car, and pick up later this wk, Ive told garage i need the car tax back as its my disabled tax. How do I get my new car taxed as disabled and where do I have to return my other tax disc from my old car ? My new car currently has no tax.

When you tax your new car for the first time, you have to re-register it as a disabled vehicle, see here for info
