Black Horse being proactive and sent me letter to see if I have been misold PPI

Hi I received one of the letters this morning , I was surprised because ive never bothered to claim because I always refuse insurance when taking out loans, because I am Self Employed, but apparantly according to Black Horse, PPI was taken out on them.
When I rang the Helpline number the very friendly lady said that I need to tell them about any other insurances for anything we had out at the time , does anybody else know how this would affect any claim ??
Cheers0 -

If your complaint includes reasons such as "had cover elsewhere" then it can work against you if you have lied or the cover does not overlap with the PPI when you think it did. Finally received cheque today for £6500. Upheld letter received on 31st December 2012. 2006 loan was traced back to loans originally taken out in 2001 and subsequent top up loans to 2006.0

So it was the consolidation of front-loaded PPI that they upheld, as I suspected earlier in the thread. Finally received cheque today for £6500. Upheld letter received on 31st December 2012. 2006 loan was traced back to loans originally taken out in 2001 and subsequent top up loans to 2006.

Well done!
That does seem the logical reason as it is one of the better complaint reasons that nearly always ends up with a result (even if it has to go via the FOS).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
