problem playing blu rays on ext drive

Hi,i can't play blu rays on my i3 pc,I have an external lite-on blu ray player,all the software to play them,my pc is capable of playing them,but,apparently my dvd player is allowed only so many region changes(I have not changed any)that it now won't play them!!!!Is there any way around this???How do i play them??Thanks in advance,never come across this problem before,having all the right software and hardware,but not been able to play them.

There will probably be a hack out there somewhere. You need to search using the player model and region hack as search terms.

If it is fairly new try taking it back to where you got it and explain the problem.

Blu Ray region locks are in the software, not hardware like DVDs are, the region may have changed if you have Blu Rays from different regions that you have been playing.

Don't really know how you can reset the region lock changes, you may have some luck reinstalling the Blu Ray software (I doubt it would work), or using a different software player will fix it but Blu Ray software is not cheap.
