Just made all the card payments for the month as got paid today...

    Card 1 - £1597.43
    Card 2 - £1982.64
    Card 3 - £714.35
    Total - £4294.42

So paid £225 off this month. Also opted to pay £80 off the dishwasher - it's not due to be paid until January but OH had a bonus this month so made sense to put the extra towards a debt when things will be tight the next few months and that will be horrendous APR so seemed to make sense to pay a bit of that.

    Keeping plodding :)

I worked out that to clear Card 1 (now £1593) by the time the 0% runs out I need to save/make about £120 a week. It's not all 0% so the sooner I can pay off the first bit the better but this is my challenge until the first week of November. Not an easy challenge but we don't do easy on MSE :D;)

So first £500 made :D We have finally had a refund from our management company where we live from last year so that's gone into the pot towards clearing the cards.

    That's fab news.
Total Debt at LBM - £19107.03

  • Paid a bit of the extra money off the cards to clear the interest bits so they now stand at...

Card 1 - £1676.85 (£700 approx till Oct, £700 till Nov, parents owe the remainder)
    Card 2 - £1000 (0% until May 14)
    Card 3 - £714.35
    Total - £3391.20
  • Card 1 - £1531.79 (£700 approx till Oct, £700 till Nov, parents owe the remainder)
    Card 2 - £956 (0% until May 14)
    Card 3 - £655.38 (£500 is OH's car deposit)
    Total - £3143.17

Bit of a lean month of payments, only £248.03 paid off, but then considering we were underpaid wages by over £300 - I think we did okay.

The car deposit will be paid next month hopefully if OH gets his bonus, so I'm going to try and make extra this month to clear Card 3 as that's the only bit with interest at the moment.
Then we need to tackle Card 1 as the interest starts to kick in.

Baby girl is lovely, cooing away now most of the time and doing breaststroke across the floor any time we put her down!
