Have snowballed and it's a bit complicated as each card is split into different chunks of 0% and normal APR but it'll be until December 2013:
Card 1 - £105
Card 2 - £35
Card 3 - £400 -
Quick update...
Baby finally arrived safe and well on 3rd July so been in a total bubble since then, and even after a hideous night last night, we're besotted
Financally...
Mortgage has gone onto flexible rate this month as we can't find my flipping driving licence counterpart to confirm the mortgage deal - very annoying but having time to hunt with newborn isn't easy, especially when I'm supposed to be on rest...
I'm going to the bank tomorrow for a "review" - going to request a new sole current account so I can close my other one with another bank who are annoying me. Also going to discuss loan and see if we can extend it by a couple of years, giving us breathing room now and allowing the mortgage overpayments later.0 -
Bank review went well and we've been able to re-jig the loan at a lower rate and over a slightly longer period - saving nearly £100 a month, phew! Plus it's given us a little extra to clear off some of the credit cards so they are now...
Description....................Debt......Monthly
Loan..............................17000.......282.45
Card 1.............................1700.........60 (approx) 0% till Oct/Nov 13
Card 2.............................2000.........60 (approx) 0% till May 14
Card 3.............................750.........60 (approx) 16.9%
Total unsecured debts...21450.....462.45
So all moving in the right direction and we don't have to start paying the new loan until October so this should give us some extra breathing space.0 -
That's a relief then.

Just a quick point on if you sell your 2nd car - £10 per day on public transport is unrealistic. Would you be going out every day? Not saying you should become a hermit mind you :rotfl:My Debt Free Diary

Unfortunately it's probably an underestimate, for OH - the bus or train is £7 and then he'd have to get a taxi which could be anything around £3 each way as the stations are too far to walk at the times they run. When I go back to work, my car is required, I get an allowance towards it as I transport equipment and teenagers.
That's the plan BeanieIt depends on OH's bonuses. All of cards 1 & 2 are 0% now though and there's enough left over from the loan top-up (they just rounded it up) to pay £1700 which is perfect to cover card 1 if I can't make enough extra
So £750 as soon as possible...selling - we've got baby stuff already that was too small etc, self employment (can still do this during mat leave) and maybe some matched betting once I feel well enough

Ahh I misunderstood - I thought if you sold your car then your OH would take the car to work and leave you without. Unfortunately that's our plan - I'm not looking forward to it all that much!My Debt Free Diary

It would only work until February s doesn't seem worth it when my car was a really good buy and has been a great little runner so far.0
