Dehumidifiers - which one is best?

Am looking at buying one but reading some reviews am not sure which one to go for and what to consider
I will be placing it up stairs in a very large hall, which is near to the bathroom which is single glazed and non vented, and near the front bedroom again single glazed. I do sometimes put washing on the racks in the hall to dry off.
Come this time of year both the bathroom and front bedroom start to get wet windows from condensation, and a slight musty smell, despite opening the windows.
Does anyone have one that they recommend, and why or perhaps have bought one that they don't recommend?
