Hi,

I recently received notice of a tariff hike with npower. Also, I'm tempted by some nice looking cashback deals. But if I change am I committed for a year? I'm about 3 months in to a one year rental contract. I'd like to stay after that but its not certain.

Thanks,
Matt

As Npower have increased your tarrif you can leave without paying exit fees, phone them and get it on record that you are leaving because of this.

What ever you change to, fixed or not thats up to you.

If you switch re cashback sites then you have to stay until cashback is paid then pay any exit fees if applicable.

    Please explain rental contract?:)

There is usually no exit penalty for a house move.

On the other hand, NPower deals tend to have discounts repaid right at the end, which you will lose.

If you move house, the contract is void without penalty.
