Curly, did your in law get her heating installed?

I noticed the guys were working on my neighbours house today. :)

Well, when I say noticed... It was difficult to sleep through the drilling [of an external] wall next door to me. When I felt the vibrations through my bed, I thought it was my alarm going off for work. :D

Just a quick update, for anyone who may be eligible, and hasn't taken the offer up yet.

I had a letter popped through my door a few days ago; which if I'm reading it correctly (hard to say, seeing as it doesn't make much sense :rotfl:), looks as though the offer is still running?

At the bottom it does mention if you rent your home, to pass the letter on to your landlord as it's available to everyone (not just homeowners), which is what leads me to believe you can still apply.

I'd like to think every eligible postcode would receive this letter, but seeing as I found out about it by chance in the first place, I thought I'd better repost just incase... :D

I hope this works, never used photobucket before.

ETA: Bloody hell, it did. lol

Thought I'd scan the letter in, so people know it's genuine. :-)
  • I had a representative from Everwarm at my door three months ago.. asking if Id like central heating as I have none.. I said yes and phoned him to confirm later that evening and was told someone would come round to see where radiators would go.. two weeks past and no one visited so I contacted the representative and he came out to see us.. saying that work had finished for now in my area and unless a cancellation came up the job wouldnt be carried out.... Id like to know why this is and have contacted the Everwarm company five times now without an answer... the phone number given just rings out... can anyone help please.....

Sorry Donna, no idea I'm afraid.

Sounds like they may have run out of cash in you area (assuming each area had its own budget?)

As Curly posted, his/her inlaw was told the deal was running out in December, but I got a leaflet through my door after that time - obviously a standard leaflet drop in the area, seeing as I already had my heating by then.

Had a wee look there at the website, and it looks as though the deal may still be available, but it no longer allows you to check online to see if your postcode is eligible - does give the phone number & a contact form.

I assume it's a busy number, given that they're giving each eligible householder [possibly] £5000 of heating installed free of charge, so just keep trying. :o
  • Just spotted this ( bit late I know) ...well done for getting it and sharing it

....just had a quick look as our heating is very old and inefficient , costs a fortune and still never that warm.....but looks like we fall in the usual trap of over the threshold and not getting the right benefits but still skint
(I'm on esa but don't think it counts as it's the contribution based one transf from long term incapacity .
  • This is very Good post about central heating glasgows and if you wan to buy these products in a cheap price then you can buy it on line as well as from market also.
