Barclays PPI are they allowed to do this??

I currently have an issues where I owe Barclays a bit for my overdraft, as I'm currently benign assisted by the CCCS to sort my finances.

I've contacted Barclays to claim PPI and they offered just over £1,200.00, but have said that they will keep £1,000.00 towards my overdraft.

Are they allowed to do this? Due to my CCCs help and I could have used this money to pay back some friends/family.

    they are allowed to do that, yes.
