Has anyone actually bought a real bargain on ebay?

  • Bargains are almost non existent any more and the reason... likely to be top rated sellers in my opinion. You might say why them? What have they done wrong.... nothing is the answer. The thing is, eBay is not a part timer seller platform any more. Its more business based these days....

I got a brand new pair of curtains, fully lined, eyelet heading, 66x72 for £30. Very high quality and machine washable which is always a bonus!
Similar in next would have been £75.

One of my best bargains was a toy rocker for my kids - £45 in Toys R Us and I won it for 55p (collection only). Felt embarrassed handing over my 55p!!

I know what you mean. My best buy was so great I paid 99p by paypal as I would have been embarrased handing over just 99p. It was for a Mammas and Pappas rocking horse for my granddaughter. If they had put the name and rrp £95 on their listing and took a better photo they would have made loads of money.
Years ago I bought lots of rain capes for fill a bag for £1 at a closing sale and sold them all for £15 each and got great feedback for every one. :rotfl:
  • Last week I bought a Flymo Hover Vac for £3.60 ! The ad had been posted from an I Phone with a very bad picture and a 1 line description so nobody was interested at all. There was just 1 bid and I pipped it and got it for £3.60.I picked it up the next day from Chippenham spent an hour cleaning it - it had sucked up some oily grass - and was dirty and my wife says it looks like new. :j:j:j:jAnd it works !
