Anyone else having trouble logging into Paypal. What to do about Payments?

I have had trouble logging into my Paypal account, I spoke to them today and apparently they are updating their systems and our account is affected. Anyone else? We have 3 accounts with them and this one we have not used for ages - a few years in fact - but this week we started selling our personal stuff again and used the account address for this account. All the info is the same and they have told me today that the account is still active but we still are just getting the retry message still. If I log in and put the wrong password it tells me this so this is not the problem. We changed the passwords, questions yesterday and Paypal said if the account was inactive I would not have been able to do this.

We have sold and used this account for the first time in a few years and people have paid me - around £55 but what now. I can't get the money, one payment I have to accept but can't so I do not have this money but what are your suggestions. I am tempted to ask the customer to do a chargeback for the goods and I'll invoice to another address but I am worried that I am going to lose money and goods and this does not look right as far as the customer is concerned.

Anyone ese having the same problems with their Paypal account. Both our other accounts are fine and we can get into those which is why it is so weird so this is why I am getting worried about how long it is going on for. they told me they would tell support and sort it out and that I should be able to get into it tonight but still nothing. Am i being too premature in worrying - this is Paypal after all, LOL!

Typical - i did think about it before the auctions ended and though I would send to my selling account instead - that is why I am selling my stuff after all, to buy more, but then I forgot and now all this has happened.

Any advice? Cheers.

I forgot to add - I already cleared all my caches, cookies etc.. thinking this might work but it didn't. I knew there was something else Iwas supposed to say I had done.

Nope, still not working. Do you think I should risk sending the stuff out - one payment was was for £30 and the other for £25.

Thing is, I can't even pay anyone? Anyone having this trouble?

Anyone know that whether I get hubby to call them they'll do a balance transfer over the phone to another Paypal account and stick it in my buying account instead? I wondered if anyone had ever done this. I have people to pay and was wanting to use this money to do it. Typical.

The account is my husbands name by the way and they were still happy to tell me stuff after I had given HIS details to them!! He was at work and asked me to chase it up. I thought they might tell me sorry, can't help, (like the banks do) but they didn't!!

I would be a bit worried about this! I would stay in regular contact with paypal and contact your buyers!! can you not give them another paypal address to send the money to? perhaps give them this option or the option to pay bank transfer (FREE SAFE & EASY!!)

Phew, it is working. I did knock off another email to them last night so maybe they got it fixed. I did not even get a response to the 1st one I sent Thursday but... it is working and I can see the payment received. Thank goodness.
