IVA Finished Back to Nice Shops
Options
We made our last payment on 31/10
Went to a butchers today havent been to since we started IVA as just couldnt justify the extra cost of organic free range etc etc and they remembered me and actually asked about my mother and how I was. OMG I now have 1/2 a lamb and a whole silverside Im so excited how sad is that actually got tearful planning a lovely luxury week of good cuts of well breed meats. Am I weird to have missed this? Maybe I shouldnt ask that!
What have you given up that you cant wait to do again due to your situation or have gone back to if you are like me IVA free (wow never thought Id say that lol) ???

Congratulations!! Liberating feeling, isn't it?
Made my last payment on 28/08/12 so the euphoria is still there.
For me the six years of living on a tight budget ~ or so it became as costs for food and fuel rocketted ~ made me make the conscious decision to add 2/3 of the money I've been paying for the IVA to the money I save each month.
The 1/3 has allowed me to buy meat based on fat content, rather than purely value range! I can't say that *suddenly* we're eating a luxury diet, because much of what I've been buying is out of the bargain bucket at the end of the day in the supermarket for meat, fruit and veg anyway.
Enjoy knowing that you now have that financial space ~ and enjoy the lamb!! :TLBM July 2006. Debt free 01 Sept 12 .. :T
Finally joined Slimming World: weight loss 33lbs...target achieved 51wks later 06.05.13 & still there :j

I did say it was a week of luxury lol I feel I want to rebel for a few days and enjoy but we did go to Tesco last night and I had to fill trolley with cheap and reduced lol The friday after a sort of celebration is fab for discounts. Toffee/Chocolate apples from halloween but obviously they dont want knocking about for bonfire night lol 5p each and loads of veg for stews and broths for 10p a bag wow I was overjoyed I can do loads with my lamb now - happy girlie0

Congratulations on making it through to the end! - we've got 8 payments left on ours and I can't wait to see that extra £500 in my account each month.
What i'm looking forward to is being able to start doing up the house, it's been sadly neglected in the last 5 years due to lack of funds. Also I do a lot of baking (mainly cupcakes) and there's loads of things I'd like to buy for that.Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame
Love is a losing game0 -
This is all very inspiring to me, I'm half way through my iva and live life making lists of all the things I'll be able to enjoy once it's over. I've become an expert on frugal living lol even blogging everything I've learned, but I shall be so glad when it's over !now debt free and determined to maintain good spending habits and build savings0
