This isn't strictly money saving, excpet I dont want to have the oven on for too long ;-) but can anyone help me with timings for my roast dinner? I'm cooking a 1½kg topside of beef, 1½kg boned rolled leg of lamb and half a turkey crown, approx 2kg. I think they'll each take about 1 hour, (36mins per kg for the turkey) although I've got a rotiserie oven I can use so wondering if one could go in that, which one would be best? I was thinking for the roast spuds, I can part cook them before, then stick them in for 20 mins while the meat rests to crisp up. Most the other veg will be on the stove, I was thinking some new potatoes, mashed sweet potaoes or normal mash, I was going to do shredded brussel sprouts with lardons and baby carots in orange juice.
What should I cook when and where? Any other suggestions?

Pre-heat oven. Do them at gas 7 for about 20 minutes and then reduce the oven to gas 4 for an hour. Once cooked take them out of the oven and cover in foil. part cook potatoes and carrots, and roast both in the oven with your yorkies when the roasts come out. (if you're doing some), back up to 7. Mash and sweet potatoes sound good, but I would stir fry the sprouts with the lardons absolutely delicious. Remember space on your stove for your gravy.0

Cook all the meat together at once in the oven? Will the lamb and beef go in one roasting tin together?
Yes I was meaning to stir fry the sprouts. i was thinking I might just make instant gravy in a jug, when I do it with juices it just gets too oily.0
