Hi,
This hasn't been brought up for a while, it seems. I was wondering whether it's more cost effective to print photos at home (I'm considering getting a Canon Pixma IP4300) or at a shop/online?
Also, how does the quality compare?
Cheers

all depends on how many photos you plan on printing i would think .... a once a year holiday with 50 pics goto Asda. making full use of your camera ...do your own.Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0

I think its alot chaeper to get photos printed than print them yourself and is the main reason I dont print photos at home.
I havent got the link but in a test and cost comparison the true value of printing photos at home was something close to £1.00 per photo.
With purchasing the paper, and ink costs. Home printers just drink too much ink.
Asda do it for approx 15p or something like that.0 -
If you are looking to save money take them to the shop (you can get 50 6x4's for £5). if you are more interest in blowing the pictures up and getting immediate access then use a photo printer.

I agree with Millionaire. I believe it is cheaper to get them printed rather than do it yourself.
I have signed up with https://www.Photobox.com through my Virgin Media broadband. If you sign up that way they give you 15 free prints per month for just the cost of postage (£1.50) In case you haven't got a calculator handy, that is just 10p per print. Quality is excellent I can't fault their service.0
