Fire safety and security in block (bit OT)

Hi, a bit OT, but just want to pick the forums brains on the following:
There are no fire safety signs or notices or fluro markers at all in my block of 6 flats. Only a no smoking sign, should there be something to comply with fire regs? We also get people leaving the door open, is there a decent pro looking sign I can print and laminate I wonder?

Is the block private? Housing Association? Council?
Do you rent? Own? Is there a Freeholder/Management Company?
You can speak to local Fire Service for advice if you have concerns and they will enforce fire safety regs and issue notices to whoever is responsible for the block and communal areas, but probably better for you to track down who is responsible and approach them first. Different types of property require different levels of fire safety.
I rent out a flat in a block of 8, and our freeholder is very pro-active and arranged fire safety risk assessment, installation of emergency lighting, fire alarms etc and tests everything regularly.0 -
No. Not (bit OT). Totally OT.
Google 'Please close the door signs' to find suppliers.0 -
Contact the freeholder or managing agent if you are a leaseholder or the letting agent/ landlord if you are a tenant including reporting that the fire doors are being propped open. If you don't get a positive response from whoever you contact ask the fire service and local council who is able to do an inspection and enforce any changes if needed to comply with the regulations. You should not be putting your own signs up, you might use the wrong ones or put them in the wrong place.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
