Is it possible to grow from things you have in your fridge? I have some veg that is past its best and sprouting, is it possible to plant it and get something from it ? Has anyone tried? What was the result?

Spring onion is easy. Insert the root part in an inch of water for a day or two, then plant into soil.
They will continue to grow and I just cut off the top bit for cooking.0 -
