Gumtree Alternatives?

Hi,
I'm a photographer and I get a reasonable amount of work from advertising on Gumtree. But recently the price hikes for featured ads have been ridiculous and I've gone to post a brief free one for a special offer - only to find there's now a £5 charge to put your website address in the ad!! It's starting to get much too expensive - but has anyone found any decent alternatives? I have a standalone website (obviously) and I do post in local Facebook groups but don't seem to get a lot of response from them.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

What sort of photography are you doing?
What are the prices for well targeted AdWords campaigns like?0 -
What sort of return are you getting from Gumtree ads? Presumably every photography job is worth a few hundred pounds so posting a few ads at £5 a time might still be worth it?
Sadly just like Ebay started hiking up fees a few years back and pricing people out of the market it sounds like Gumtree is doing the same and Facebook certainly is. Offline methods of promotion might be the way forward if you can target activities at your key audience?0 -

Don't forget, both Gumtree & Craigslist are ebay companies.
I have a domain registered purely for the unlimited email addresses, but the domain name lends itself to a classified ads site. Now if only I knew how to set one up.0 -
Hi have you look at the "people per hour" website? You can put up an "hourlie" which is what you can do in a set amount of time for a price set by you.0
