Please can you give me some advice.

I am unemployed and transferred all of my redundancy money to my IVA company 2 months ago as a F&F settlement.

We are ok as my partner works so we can get by (he was never part of the IVA).

My question is how long should the completion certificate take to come through? I never asked the IVA company which was stupid of me and now they are being very vague.

Also what happens if I do find employment before the certificate arrives, do I have to start paying the IVA again?
.
Thanks for any help that you may give.

  • Some of the larger firms have a massive back log and you could be waiting a good few months if you are with one of them, which firm did you use?

Give them a call and see how long it will take for you to receive your completion certificate. If you have settled your IVA and you find a job they wouldn't ask for you to start paymemts again

Congratulations on the succesful completion of your IVA :-)

    Thankyou xxx

My IVA is with Payplan, I have spoken to them but as I mention they seem vague, i guess i will try again, its good news that it is settled though, I wasn't sure if it was.

I have been unemployed for 10 months now, i worked in a very specialised area and the positions are just not out there presently.

My concern is will not having a certificate hinder me if i do manage to get a job? I haven't had to look for work since leaving Uni 20 years ago so I am not sure what to expect.

    Thanks again xx
