Ahstma medication flying with Ryanair

Hi,

I am at mixed ends at the moment, I am travelling from stansted to bergerac (france) on Monday and it is the first time I have ever flown and I am doing it solo. I require ahstma medication, 2 inhalers and have quite a lot of it as I am staying for 6 months. On the Ryanair website it says all medication must be inside the hand baggage, however on the stansted website it says that all medication must be inside hold baggage and 1 inhaler is allowed with you. I have a prescription that I can leave with the bulk inhalers and then carry my individual emergency one with me however has anyone got experience with ryanair and inhalers? I contacted there support but they are useless and I never got any replys fro the 5 emails I sent.

Thanks,
simon

  • I often stock up on inhalers when in Spain where they can be bought without a prescription.
I've never known Ryanair or indeed any airport query the amount of inhalers I carry in my hand luggage which can be as many as 10-15.

we fly frequently with ryan air, my son is asthmatic and i have never had any issues with 2 inhalers in my hand luggage - i just put it a clear bag with his other meds (one is a liquid antihistimine) - and remove the bag when giong thro the baggage, sometimes they ask me to drink the medicine which is gross lol i am sure you will be fine :)
  • Great, thankyou for the advice everyone I will carry them in my hand luggage and hopefully all goes well.
  • Best way as then if your bags do go missing you have it with you.
