Good morning,
I had a telephone interview with o2 at 10am and I passed!! Whoop!
Now I have been booked into the face to face stage and I'm wondering if anyone can give me insight into the process, whats asked?, and the "presentation" are there specfics they're looking for?
Also, what is the whole recruitment process of o2?
1. Application
2. Telephone Interview
3. Face to Face Interview
etc.
Thank you, and have a nice day

Congrats on passing stage 1!
What's the specific job you're going for? The recruitment process and requirements can vary from job to job.0 -
Hi Aryndeneth,
Thank you!!
The role is Retail Sales Advisor0 -
I don't know the exact O2 recruitment process but, in terms of what they're looking for, the key parts are sure to be sales and customer service.
Sales - persuasion and negotiation skills, knowing your products, knowing why your product is right for the customer, confidence, communication skills, resilience, building relationships with customers and clients, applying just the right amount of persuasion to close a sale without annoying/frightening client away.
Customer service - listening and understanding customer's needs, fulfilling those needs and going above and beyond when necessary. Not forcing an incorrect product onto someone just to make a sale but sacrificing customer loyalty and repeat business. Friendly, approachable and knowledgeble.
Demonstrate these sorts of qualities, think of good examples of when you've used or demonstrated these skills before. Doesn't necessarily have to be in retail environment and you don't need to be an expert in O2 products (yet) but show you have the skills which you will then apply when you do work for O2. Show them you can learn new things quickly so will be ablw to learn about their products and services.
Research the company, again don't need to be expert yet, but know some key facts about them, their retail arm and products/services. Don't just learn facts but have opinions/insights on what you've learned so you're not just repeating what's on the website.
Be able to explain why you're interested in working in retail.
Go on their website and see if they've got an "About Us" "Our People" "Our values" type page. See what it is they value.
Visit an O2 store and look around, note things about the staff, store, evnironment that you're interested in or impressed by.
Good luck! Let us know how you get on.0
