Damaged my car - need help
Comments

No, I will be calling insurance company today regardless of claim.
I am just torn if I claim or not. Either way I will not be able to afford (repair or high premiums next year) and will not be able to see the car in this state.
Thank you for all replies, many good points and support

No worries.
If you get the car inspected ad are happy to run it until the wheels fall off then you shouldn't need to claim unless the landowner makes a poitn about the barrier.
If they don't the choice is yours as to whether you fix the car. At least you'll be covered by notifying the insurance company. Make sure you tell them it is for information only at this stage. What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -

I don't know if it'd be viable but if you could find another car of the same model/age which is in decent cosmetic and mechanical condition but with a high milage/blown engine (and therefore cheap) maybe you could look at an engine transplant?0

Hi James, thanks. I looked at this option an may visit local scrap field. I think the major work is two doors (fix+spray) + rear left side dent fix. The car floor/base (below doors) has small bend inside but could live with that. Ideal scenario two new doors of the same colour. But I have to see mechanic first to get inspection about any hidden damage. Thanks.Have you got something to share - Do it.
