Hello all,
I've recently been asked by my boss to explore the idea of using a netbook during our meetings with clients. At the moment we use papers to jot down clients details, and put the details onto our system afterwards. Very long winded and old-school process. We explored the idea of using Tablets and iPads but our system isn't allowing it, but when we tried a netbook, it worked.
So my question is: Could anyone suggest me a decent netbook that we could use when we sit down with the clients to take their details and put those details onto our system? The netbook needs to have a wi-fi and internet access. That's all. Price range hopefully below £300.
Thanks very much, Helena x

this question has been asked a few times in the last week or so, you could have a look at the answers on those threads as they are always the same...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

The other point that should be made is that netbooks are getting on for being an obsolete technology because of their deliberately low specifications, and the fact that they aren't than much cheaper than a small laptop.
The fact that "your system isn't allowing" the use of tablets and iPads makes me think that you should get someone in to make this possible. IMHO that would be a better way to go than netbooks!0 -
I would suggest 11.6", unless you need a long battery life. CPU for 10" netbook are really slow IMO.

BTW, If you willing to pay more, there will be tablet running windows 8 pro, such that they should work with your existing system.
However, it will be lot more than 300 pounds0 -

Not if it's for taking notes.
Depending on the order size, you can get a dell notebook (laptop) for £300, and for business use you're not going to do much better.
Otherwise, just go for any laptop under 12-12" within budget and use that, they should all be able to keep up with any IT system changes.0
