you need to get something like Stronghold or Advocet from your vet for the cats.
There are different strengths of frontline spray (or at least there used to be). The vets have the strong stuff.May Grocery Challenge : 64.81 so far

A recent thread here worth a read if only to let you know that you're not alone with having to deal with the unwanted visitors.
As others have said -vac the entire house & treat with a spray such as Acclaim, & repeat after a week or two. Regular use of Frontline, although I am now considering stopping treating them over the winter.0 -
thanks. hubby is on his way to the vets as we speak! i'm really concerned over how i get everything washed, i can't do it all at the same time and worried the fleas will stay on it. also cuddly toys do i have to wash them? they won't survive if i boil wash them. the bedding and towels all goes on at 90 degrees anyway.
thanks for the link.
stress of it all!0 -

As I said "Don't forget to worm the cat, fleas carry some types of worm eggs .... There may be eggs on clothing, bedding, cushions and soft toys, hot wash what you can and vacuum then freeze the remainder for a few days. Even if you miss a few eggs if they hatch they will just be killed by whatever you treat your home or cat with."Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
just sprayed the place with indorex and a night run to the supermarket as perry the pup had fleas, one on him Wednesday, and covered by Thursday.
had to choice but to get the bm drop on, as Wednesday already ordered online all the pet drops but hasn't been delivered yet, thing is it is the cats that go out and mix, perry doesn't.
by Friday we had one flea, and now none, now i had that indorex ready for about a year and my word its good stuff...
There is only so much i can wash, and today the place will have another good vacuum to collect the dead and eggs.0 -
Mupette dogs and cats catch fleas from grass and places other animals go not simply from direct contact with other pets. We can even bring fleas or eggs into the home on our shoes and clothing, as plenty of slaves to indoor only cats can testify! Once you have an active infestation you are better getting a spot on from your vet rather than an over the counter product. Most vets will prescribe without needing a check up providing you are registered.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

We used Frontline for many years until last summer. Our cats had fleas despite the use of frontline, and we weren't the only one in the vets getting Stronghold because Frontline had falled.0
