Have you spoken to the surveyor since you ordered the survey? Why has there been a delay? Was the survey actually performed?
If they've done the work and the survey got lost in the post then they deserve to be paid - you should have raised it at the time. If they've still not cashed the cheque though then it sounds like they didn't do the work.Note: Unless otherwise stated, my property related posts refer to England & Wales. Please make sure you state if you are discussing Scotland or elsewhere as laws differ.0 -
Did you receive, sign and return their terms of engagement?I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I dont understand, why would you purchase if you hadnt received the survey?0

Have you really completed on a house without seeing the survey ...more importantly how on earth did your solicitor let this happen :eek::eek:0

Did the survey go back to your lender or solicitor? I can't believe you would have purchased without one unless you paid cash?
If you purchased with a mortgage then I would expect the lender and solicitor to have a copy.0 -
If the cheque has been cashed you cannot cancel it four months later. If the cheque has not been cashed the surveyor probably has not given you the survey because you have not paid! Have you checked whether you payment or the survey have been lost in the post?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
