Visa credit card insurance against theft of new product

I bought a new jacket last week that cost £260 and was stolen from a bar. I paid for it on a Barclaycard Visa Credit Card. Does anyone know if I am covered with their insurance. I cant see anything on their website. Thanks

Barclaycard dropped their purchase protection several years ago.

Even those cards that do offer purchase protection it is normally only a secondary insurance for if there is no other valid insurance. So if you have Home Insurance with Personal Possessions cover then you'd have to claim on that rather than the credit cards insurance

Have you rung them and asked?

also if in a bar was it not been watched by you, as it was a public place so likely to fail
