Thanks for the suggestions...yes we have celery here so I can do that with the cream cheese with a little added dill, and use the same inside some rolls of ham. I will put them on a plate with some nice lettuce or rocket for a garnish. That means I can also take the smoked salmon dip I make with some nice crisp veggies to dip in it. I can't do the filo pastry one as they don't do it gluten free and I can't touch flour as I react to it.....shame as it sounds really nice. I could make some gluten free pizza though....“The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. Don't worry Lyn, I can't stay mad at her for long. She got a bit excited when she heard me mixing up her tea. They are usually quite well behaved.

PAH good to hear from you sounds like you will be glad to see the back of this year too.
Mar's soaps have a quality of perfume that makes them special, I have mine spread amongst my craft boxes so that everytime I go in a box I get the beautiful smell to greet me. I have used a couple as soap tho and they are lovely.
I bought a silicon baking tin for mini muffins the other day, think it was in B&M and it is fab. Just made tiny mince pies and they were perfect. Would be very useful for snacky bits in lunchboxes or party food.Clearing the junk to travel light

I think i'm going mad!

I forgot to say that I gifted a few of Mars soaps this Christmas and everyone has commented on how wonderful they are,
I seem to remember that someone had a log burning stove fitted fairly recently? If they did can you give me a general idea of how much it cost please? I have been offered the possibility of cash to buy one for my dining room but will need a guesstimate before I can proceed.0 -

Aria - was so sorry to hear about your tree, the only silver lining I can think of is that at least you can replace the ornaments cheaply at the momentAnd my advice for next year is to tie the tree to the wall, I do it most years and its definitely saved us several times. If you do it fairly mid way its not noticeable,

KIDCAT - We had our woodburner installed a few years ago and it cost £2,300 then but that included the chimney liner, an extension pipe for the outside bit of the chimney and a cowl for the top. There are many different types and sizes of woodburner so the price range is considerable. Your best option would be to call in a couple of installers and get some quotes, they will advise you on how big, what heat you need to heat your room area and how much it would cost to instally the whole set up. I have to say we have a superb firm who have in the past had to come and re-install the stove 4 or 5 times (It kept pushing forward onto the hearth as the metal expanded with the heat) and never once have we been asked to pay anything extra. It was expensive but in my opinion the best improvement we have ever made to the house. Hope that helps, Cheers Lyn xxx.P.S our stove is a Clearview and they are super!!!!!0
