Not only what above has said but I'm positively positive that the Cap1 classic comes in around the 35% mark.
It definitely was around 35% when I first signed up, but there was something about them decreasing the APR every 6 months with good use, I used to receive letters twice a year about how they've decreased the interest rate. On this month's statement it says 'Standard Purchase: 18.320%', so I assumed that was the APR....
Thank you guesswho2000, Eonel and You-kip for your advice. Like Roland Sausage, I thought I had a fair idea about APRs etc, but clearly not!0 -
I calculate that you have available balances of £22,200
You should close as many cards as possible that you are not using as your available credit will affect any new applications you make.
I'd suggest you close the card supplied by your bank (if there's no balance on it) you do your banking with, as they I think are most likely to accept you as a new customer when you apply. I've done this with First Direct for quite a few years now applied for the card, transferred money onto the card and then transferred money out and closed the account when the 0% offer ran out, then 12 months later applied again. I think I did this 3 times.Nearly debt free
