Evening - I hope that someone can give me some good advice...
I'm thinking about getting a new PC (an all-in-one model) and the only thing holding me back is a worry about MS Outlook. My current PC has this on which I use to access my BT emails. Something in the back of my memory is recalling information about this facility not being continued on new PCs - is this correct? Or have I made it up?
If it's not on new PCs what other method is available, apart from web based access? I can access BT emails via BTYahoo but it's not as 'useful' as MS Outlook.
Thanks

Where did you get MS Outlook from in the first place? If you installed it have you not still got the (Office?) disk? If not, buy one.If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

What facility do you mean? You can still get office (outlook and word etc.) Bundled with new PCs but you will generally pay extra for it.0 -

do you have a child/student in the house? you can get the full office suite for £80 from software for students, it has all the applications on it and bonus ones. I have just sent off for mine and will be copying my .pst files (outlook) over from my old comp onto outlook. I had some great advice from another member on this forum about this.Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

all in one models are more difficult to repair than your average pc, glorified (and expensive) laptop with a big screen.!!

Yes, we have this already and have one more upload left (think it's limited to three). Geeky man will do the copying of .pst files.all in one models are more difficult to repair than your average pc, glorified (and expensive) laptop with a big screen.
Yes, all the reviews of AIO models mention this, however since the days of gas lamps I've not had a PC which broke down. I know it can happen, just as a new car can break down, however I'm not going to make that a crucial part of the decision.
As I'm now reassured about MS Outlook (and slightlythat I forgot about it being part of the MS suite) many thanks to all. Now off to explore!

Are you referring to Outlook, or Outlook Express?
OE is free, and installed by default on PC's running XP. Outlook is part of MS Office and is never included with the basic OS in any version of Windows.
If you buy a new PC and simply want a desktop email client (as opposed to webmail) then you can download and use either Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird for free.
OE will not run on Vista, W7 or W8.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
