Why is the deposit so much??

Trying to book a summer holiday next year for me and 3 friends on Travel Republic, but the deposit seems alot!!

For a limited period it is possible to pay a deposit in order to secure this holiday. The deposit is £1,316.12, with the balance due (12 weeks before departure) on 17-Apr-2013.

Have you tried love holidays.com . 49 quid deposit
It could be that you have to pay up front for your flight

How much is the total amount? Who are you flying with?

The deposit totally depends on who you are booking with, and who they are booking the flights / hotels / transfers with. If you are using a company that books a LCC with a hotel to create a 'package', the deposit will be high because you have to pay the full cost of the flight at the time of booking.
