intenstive driving course?
hi, apologies if this has already been posted several times before, but would anyone recommend an intensive driving course? i failed my test last year, having taken around twenty lessons, and don't really want to keep paying for lessons at a weekly rate with an instructor who i have lost patience with for a variety of different reasons.
if anyone has been on one, what are they like? value for money? does the instructor still pick you up from your house or do you go to a driving centre each day? will the instructor take you on the same route as you'd go on in a regular driving lesson?
so, does anyone know what is the 'cheapest' intensive course that can be taken? i live in manchester if that helps...
thanks.

Do you want the cheapest course or one good enough to actually help you pass the test?
What did you fail on? How many major and minor faults?
Pickup from the house, If thats what you want.
Drive the test route. I didnt think they were allowed to do that.
Have they stopped publishing the routes again?
If you get tired or stressed after severalhours of driving then an intensive course
may not suit you.
Why not several 2 hour lessons each day for a week or two?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Learning to drive isn't simply ticking the boxes and 20 hours instruction isn't enough for many people.
It doesn't really matter what the name of the school is since it is the personal relationship with the instructor that counts.
Why not ask friends, relatives and colleagues if they know of good instructors? Take a single lesson with the instructor to see if you get on before signing any long term contracts.0 -
I did one, albeit with the Military so it's a bit different.
It didn't teach me to drive as such, it taught me to drive the test route in York
I couldn't imagine doing an hour here and an hour there to be honest, but most people seem to cope ok.. Don't forget even with an intensive you could still pay for the course and have a bad day come the test.0
