If it doesn't go on Ebay , please don't chuck it - advertise it on your local Freecycle board - am sure someone will be grateful to take it off your hands.

No probs. Funny thing is I was reading a post on here yesterday where someone was outraged that someone had posted a request on freecycle for a cream carpet! Pity we can't match you up!

Some local papers have a free ads section, so you could try advertising it there. I once sold some good quality carpet that had been laid for just 3 months this way. The couple who bought it were well pleased to get a good grade carpet at a very low price.

try ebay first, then if no luck try the local supermarket notice board.
after that then freecycle by all means. anything but dump it.

as you say, it also saves a trip to the local tip.

It's always worth trying ebay there is always someone that wants your old stuff. I sold a knackered leanto conservatory on ebay for £130. I listed it just to see if I could get rid of it to save me having to go down the tip.
