Does anyone know if there is any such thing as a Gas Fire Pit? Or has anyone ever adapted there gas barbeque into a fire? Sounds weird I know.

Like a floor based gas barbecue?? I have no idea if im honest! It would take work because the piping would need to be better than what is provided with a normal gas barbecue to withstand being embedded in concrete etc, and the flooring itself would need to be fire/flame/heat resistant. However, I suspect it would be possible given the right tools to adapt it to fit.
Its a good idea though, ive seen some lovely fire pits and im eyeing them up myself. Ive always found a bit of old wood from the park or one of those fire bricks from the supermarket to be highly effective though, I never thought of gas!

Hi Jo
Got a Fire Pit already and I love it! Especially if you like outdoor entertaining. My only problem is it does take a while to get going. I have a gas barbeque also and love the convenience. They do do gas fire pits in america both mains and bottled gas and they even sell them on Ebay but i have not seen a uk supplier.0
