Mine is the only post that hasn't been thanked, but I wasn't being facetious, I was trying to make a helpful suggestion.

I have a friend who used to be addicted to Diet Coke - she drank about ten 2L bottles a week plus a few 500ml bottles, she literally was never without a Diet Coke in her hand. She had a financial crisis a few years ago and gave up the DC (necessity not choice obv) and doesn't miss it at all. She says that she feels 100% better now and wishes that she had given it up sooner. She's rediscovered water (still and sparkling), and also drinks lots of herbal tea. Now I hate sparkling water, but still water is the nicest drink in the world imho. I also love milk, and peppermint tea (and wine ha ha!).

Just saying that giving up altogether is an option which may improve your health as well as saving you money.

No, not facetious, but I think the OP was looking for some constructive ideas on just exactly how to cut down/give up/become more MSE. :)

If you meant just go cold turkey, that can be hard for some people, I've read that addiction to cola can be a very real thing and people have felt pretty ill while giving it up.
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
