Leaving British Gas - lost access to my account data

I'm switching my dual fuel deal from BG to another single provider - the dates of each fuel switchover have been staggered - no idea why - electricity happened first and now I'm denied access to all the historical data about my electricity bills/usage online at BG.
I've downloaded the BG gas accounts before the same happens to them.
Do I have the right to ask BG to give me access?

Same here.. I can log in to my account but all historical data including meter readings, payments etc. are not available. I think I lost access shortly after my cooling off period ended with EDF.

I'm still with BG. But my electricity and gas will be transfered to the new supplier on 8th and 16th this month.

EDIT: Oh no.. a correction. Now I cannot even log in. I get this
Sorry, but there is a problem with some of the information you have submitted.

You have no right of access once you are no longer a customer. I recall that BG tend to close the online account down before the actual switch date.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • Exactly what happened to me.

I will still have to ring British Gas on the 8th and 16th to give them my meter readings I imagine.
