Low pressure water with old shower

Hi All
On a bit of a budget , and wondered if there is anyway to increase water pressure in a property ?
we live in a 1960 bungalow , and the shower has been there just as long! its Triton T70 if you will! , anyway , the hose and head were leaking so we replaced them with a stanadard argos jobbie ,problem is , now its as powerful as a shower you might get in a caravan...if anyone else has experienced this , they will know what i mean!
I dont mind investing in a new electric shower , but i am worried that if we do , it will turn out to be the houses water pressure , and be just as bad!
any advice for me guys ?
Cheers

Have you fully opened the stopc*ck? What power rating is the T70?
You are confusing water flow with water pressure, You want to increase the flow. The flow rate of a electric shower is ultimately determined by the kW power rating of the shower, and the temp of the water coming into it from the rising main.
A less powerful shower will produce less flow, and at this time of year it always gets worse, as the incoming water temp gets colder.
So if the water pressure is maximised and there are no other obstructions in the supply pipe, all you can do is uprate the shower to a more powerful one-which may also involve uprating the circuit cable and connections.
If the flow was adequate before the leak, then the problem is with the new head and hose you have fitted. Are they designed for an electric shower?
However a 60's vintage shower will be very under-rated by today's standards, I'm guessing no more than 6 or 7kWh?No free lunch, and no free laptop0
