Company in liquidation, what next?!

Hello all,
My partner went into work on Monday to find the company has gone.... place was deserted with nothing left and boss done a runner. I have spoken to Company House and not down as in liquidation/administration yet but apparently this can take 14 days?! Went into the job centre and they wont help or offer any advice so phoned ACAS and filed a ET1 form but thats it.... anyone offer advice on what we do next please? someone mentioned speaking to the administrators but i dont know how to find out who they are.
He is a months salary short plus holiday and notice and we cant afford to lose a months salary.
