Santander are changing their terms

While considering the new version of MoneyDashboard I asked Nationwide direct about their position on aggregators. They said (after a bit of prompting for their exact legal position):
I confirm Nationwide do not recommend the use of any aggregator as the legal position remains unclear if a problem ever arose. We are therefore unable to provide our online banking promise if using any aggregation service. Please note this is not a comment on the viability or security offered by any aggregation service themselves.
To avoid any doubts we always recommend all access to our online bank is made directly from our site, by entering the homepage in your address bar and without use of a favourite, bookmark or search engine.
If you lose money as a result of fraud through our online banking service, we’ll put the money back in your account immediately providing that:
1.You have not given to someone else your memorable data or passnumber that you use to access our online banking service
2.You have complied with the security data obligations contained within our online banking terms and conditions
3.You have provided correct payment instructions
4.You did not authorise the transaction
5.The fraud has not occurred as a result of you using an account aggregation service that consolidates information from each of your financial accounts into one place such as a single website.0 -

If you choose to do business with a large company that employs tens of thousands of people don't expect the same person to answer the phone or come trotting out from behind the counter each time you contact them.Santander - customer service rubbish as well. Getting a different person each time doesn't make much difference, as o4u says it's a given when dealing with large firms.

I don't bank with them. But both Mrs and daughter do and neither has had any issues in 5 years.
So its horses for courses.
Funny how some people have problems all the time with banks. But in all my years of banking. I have never had the need to raise a complaint.....:pNever ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0
