My wife bought me a skagen watch for Xmas and its been a good watch but the titanium strap had a piece fray off and snag a tshirt..
The watch was sent back to skagen and they sent it back to lewis saying not covered under guarantee and wanted £46 for a new strap...
I quoted sale of goods act and told the lady to get a manager to phone me..
This morning they have phoned and told me they are covering the cost themselves....
well done to them...

It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

John Lewis (and Waitrose) does often give very good service. Its a pity that both their stores arent more common and their prices being so high. I know they do have price matching but I've morally never liked it - they say never knowingly undersold and yet the price match for me but the person behind they then charge full price for the same item... hows that not knowingly?
Good to hear.... guess you didnt get the shirt replaced too0 -
