Card on collection could be even better...more protection if anything goes wrong with the item.

I have just been informed that as of the 5th november they are in administration, so all gift vouchers etc must be used by then. The actual warranties are being honoured by the manufacturers so if there is an issue with an item one should deal with them directly.

There is never ever a good time to lose your job but there can't be a worse time than just before christmas?

These things always seem to happen at this time of year

It does seem strange timing though, what with the "lucrative" christmas market upon us - they should be able to make plenty of profit if they have some good deals, but what do I know!
