NPB and I'm off on holiday soon

So I had a few items ending last weekend, sold a couple, but one hasn't paid yet, and I'm off on holiday this weekend.

I realise in hindsight I should have given myself 8 days clearance not 7, but what's don'e is done.

Just looking for advice on what to do if the buyer doesn't pay before I leave.
I sent a message yesterday mentioning that I would be unable to post the item after a certain date, but and waiting for a response.
Obviously I can't raise an NPB as I'll be on holiday before it closes, and if the buyer then pays, I can't post it.

It's a dress that sold for a fiver plus P&P, so low value.

Any ideas?

Pleased it worked out for you

The first time it happened to me was the last. Since then , like you suggest, I have made sure to finish my items a full 8 days before I leave.

  • I had that as well last holiday. I left the parcel with a friend in case they paid, but they never did...
  • Just in case of any use to someone else in a similar situation-i recently took some parcels on holiday with me that hadn't been paid for. I checked my ebay on my phone every day while i was away and once they paid i posted their parcel when we went near a post office.
Obviously not much use if you are flying but not a bad plan lol

For me holidays are sacrosanct, I never even log in.

At least one of my sons will be in to house sit, so any family emergencies can be run through him. I leave my iPhone at home if I am going abroad and take a cheap PAYG phone for emergencies and relax. I go away a lot all paid for by eBay, and Im certainly not having ebay intrude on my time.

Maybe for a short break in the UK it would be different, but even then I think my OH would be a bit miffed if I was forever logging in and expecting to divert to a PO to post something.

I just don't want eBay to take over my life to that extent and prefer to lose some sales by closing early.
