Discount Mobility Direct

I bought a mobility scooter from Discount Mobility Direct and it needed some assembly when it arrived, which I wasn't expecting and hadn't been told. Odd when selling in the disability market.
I struggled somewhat with the instruction booklet and had some parts I didn't understand. I called the company and they said they couldn't help, they were "just" the supplier. They gave me a number to call which turned out to be the carriers, who of course also couldn't help.
They then gave me the number of the manufacturer, who said they did not deal direct with the public.
Called DMD back and a man rather grudgingly gave a bit of advice.
I emailed the manufacturer who were concerned that one of their suppliers should be so lacking in after sales service. They said they'd asked DMD to call me by 1pm yesterday...which of course they did not. So the manufacturer are taking it further with the company.
Potential purchasers need to be aware that some assembly - involving very heavy lifting - will be needed and if you need advice from DMD regarding assembly or any other matter you can forget it.
