For Ffffridge Sake - ORANGE (Home Phone and Broadband)!

This is a long one (grab a cuppa)

I was due to change from Sky Home Phone and Broadband to Orange. I called Sky told them I was leaving, they sent me on my way and the transfer was Monday (29th), or not as it turned out to be.

Last Wednesday (24th) I called Orange to say I'd got all the documentation regarding my switch but still no router. I was advised they'd checked the system and my account was all set up, the router already ordered and in the post, it should be with my by Friday/Saturday.

Saturday came and went, again I called as I was a wee bit nervious as my switch was on the Monday, again everything is in order and the router is on it's way, it'll definatley be with you first thing Monday.

Monday - No Router - I called to after 30 minutes they come back with we're sorry the router hasn't been ordered, I've done it now it'll be with you in 3/5 working days. *Annoyed but these things happen*, I said I'd buy/borrow a generic router and with the account details I'll use that to connect, I was told my phone line and broadband were still in the switching phase and they couldn't give me the login details I'd need to connect until it was 'live', a couple of hours at the most. An hour later I get an email thanking me for my order and that they hope to have my phone and broadband connected within 10 working days.

With a still dead phone line, I call back to make sure everything is as it should be considering the email and still not being connected... This is the 'fun bit'... I get bounced from Sales to Registrations to Retentions to Technical Support and back again. The very long and short of it is - They've not done a thing, they've not done the switch correctly and I've been disconnected at the exchange. Now they say they can't reconnect me until 11th of December and I've 'lost my phone number'... Needless to say after 5 hours of being bounced around and being told I'm disconnected, I've lost my number and they hope to have me 'live' in 6 weeks time, I told them to keep their phone and broadband.

Now I'm sorting out a new supplier and it's still going to take 6 weeks to be reconnected. :mad:
