PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Rent Arrears

The longer this situation goes on, the more likely the LL will add interest, court costs, legal fees and any other charges he feels able to claim from you. I would clear the full arrears out of court now, otherwise you might end up with a much higher bill that you have at the moment!
The fact that you have previously offered a payment plan is probably irrelevant now, as the LL is not obliged to accept it and you moved away leaving the outstanding debt, so obviously attempted to evade paying, which looks very poor on you.
You signed an agreement to pay rent for the property as and when it became due, and failed to honour it, so you are the one in the wrong here, not the LL.0
