Royal Mail new parcel service?

Is it just me or are the details particularly vague on this?

There was a news report on it yesterday but no great details as to how it will work. Is this a new company in addition to Royal Mail and Parcelforce? What services will be offered? Is it a new delivery round or will they be spread between Parcelforce and/or Royal Mail?

Is it a predominantly business service? Will it be a tracked service? Is it replacing the current Royal Mail parcels, so RM will only carry letters and large letters?

Are they making it up as they go along?

It could be a brilliant idea but I can't help but think that the lack of information means they haven't thought it through yet.

I read it as investment/expansion of the current service rather than something new.

Its a few extra hands to help with demand (note it relates to sorting)
