No Gas Supply

I have no gas supply and the nearest mains is about 3 to 4 miles away.
Centrica or whovere it is carried out a survey a few years ago and claimed that not enough signed up so would not extend the mains.

I feel a bit miffed as all the best deals on enegy involve dual fuel.

I wondered if this was actually some form of discrimination or if there is a loophole that i can use to force the companies to give me my electricity at the dual fuel rate.

Any body else think this way.

In general, discrimination has to be due to a 'protected charecteristic' - sexual orientation, race, disability.
It is perfectly legal to discriminate against people with purple doors, or who are left handed.

You may want to consider organising a local drive to see if you can get enough signatures.
Other than that - economy 7, plus storage heaters.

If it was Centrica or british gas then that would have been quite a few years back, may be worth contacting the appropriate gas network for the area to see if any plans to bring gas to your area in the forseeable future.
